This Privacy Policy explains how TechSpark Development LLC ("TechSpark", "we", "us", or "our"), the company that operates InstaDemo (the website at instademo.app, the InstaDemo web application, and the InstaDemo browser extension, collectively the "Service"), collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. Who we are

The Service is provided by TechSpark Development LLC. References to "InstaDemo" refer to the product; the data controller is TechSpark Development LLC. You can reach us at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored hashed) when you register, including via Google sign-in.
• Demo inputs — the URLs you submit, page selections, narration scripts, and editing choices you make.
• Billing information — when you purchase a plan or credits, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number; we retain limited records such as transaction IDs and subscription status.
• Communications — messages you send us by email or support channels.

Information collected automatically

• Usage and device data — log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps, used to operate and secure the Service.
• Cookies — we use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and limited analytics. See "Cookies" below.

Information collected by the InstaDemo Autopilot browser extension

The optional InstaDemo Autopilot extension only collects data while you are actively recording a workflow you started. When recording, it captures:

• The pages you visit during the recording (URLs, page titles, and timing), your clicks, scrolling, and the text you enter into non-sensitive form fields.
• Visible page content (headings and text excerpts) used to generate narration for your demo.
• If you enable "Capture authentication", the current site's session cookies and local storage, so your recorded workflow can be replayed on pages behind a login on your behalf.

The extension does not record passwords, payment card numbers, security codes, or one-time codes; these fields are excluded from capture. Recorded data is sent only to your own InstaDemo account to generate your demo video. The extension does not track your general browsing and is inactive when you are not recording.

3. How we use your information

• To provide, operate, and improve the Service and generate your demo videos.
• To process payments, manage subscriptions, and prevent fraud and abuse.
• To communicate with you about your account, transactions, and product updates (you can opt out of non-essential email).
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. Third-party processors

We share data with service providers only as needed to run the Service. These include:

• OpenAI — to analyze submitted pages and generate narration scripts and voice-over.
• Stripe — to process payments.
• Email delivery providers — to send transactional and account emails.
• Hosting and infrastructure (e.g., DigitalOcean, Cloudflare) — to host and protect the Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use or transfer it for advertising unrelated to the Service.

5. Cookies

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for sign-in and security, and limited cookies for analytics and remembering preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent you from signing in.

6. Data retention

We retain account and demo data for as long as your account is active. Free-tier demo videos are stored for a limited period (as described in the product) and then removed. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. You may also delete your account from your profile settings.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

10. International users

We operate from the United States and may process data there and in other countries where our providers operate. By using the Service you consent to such processing.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
